{Link Party} Greek Key Flower Pot and Link Party!

Update a basic plastic flower pot with spray paint and a sharpie marker!

As much as I love terracotta pots they always end up chipping, cracking and breaking.

Plastic pots seem to be the most simple solution.  I am a big fan of low maintenance when it comes to outdoor projects, but I don't really like the look of plastic flower pots.  So, I gave mine a little update!

I purchased Krylon Fusion Spray Paint specifically for this project because it's made to adhere to plastic.  No sanding or priming necessary!

And used a black Sharpie marker to highlight the greek key trim!

Now it's your turn!  Show me your outdoor paint projects!  I'm excited to see what everyone has been up to!

Submissions welcome through 6/19/12.  Don't forget to link back to Flower Hill Design!  Featured projects will be posted on Wednesday 6/20!

  3. Jean,
Love the re-do on your flower pot, looks great! Amazing what paint can do, isn't it? Also, really like the Greek key trim. That sets it off nicely.
Thanks for hosting, look forward to seeing what everyone's painting projects are. Today, the project that I will be working on is ALL about paint.

  5. Love your flower pot makeover Jean! Love the Sharpie tip here too! I don't have any outdoor projects to share in blogland this summer, since I have everything set aside or packed up for our upcoming move in July....but I am getting lots of ideas for our new home once we settle in later this summer! Thanks for sharing! Heather :)
