Every so often I come across a home that speaks to me. This Sherman Oaks, California home featured at Apartment Therapy did just that.
Warning: This is a pic heavy post clearly related to the fact that I have an infatuation with west coast homes. That and I am in need of a sunny vacation. :)
I am absolutely in love with all of these windows. The sunlight in this open living space must be incredible.
The artwork adds a pop of color to the otherwise neutral furnishings and surroundings.
I love the clean lines of this kitchen. The large center island makes this a great space for entertaining.
The living room space is warm and inviting and is consistent with the mid century modern style.
I love these lamps. Again, a pop of color is added through accessories.
Love the geometric tiles over the fireplace.
The grasscloth wallpaper, shag rug and natural accessories add texture. Again, these floor to ceiling windows are amazing.

The master bedroom is so peaceful. I love uncluttered master bedroom spaces. It doesn't hurt that this one opens to the backyard pool. :)
Adorable child's space.
The floating carrara marble counter top keeps this bathroom space open and airy.
Aaahhh, you'll find me here with a cup of coffee...and my computer. :)

I'm with you on the need for a sunny vacation! We were supposed to be leaving this week for Mexico, but our dog got sick and we cancelled. I think we'll try to get away skiing for a couple days instead (not the same thing, but at least it's a change in scenery!).
