By now I'm sure all of you have heard that Google Friends Connect (GFC) is becoming a thing of the past. It's been quite the upset in blogland.
Enter Linky Followers. This seems to be the direction that bloggers are heading. So, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. And at first glance Linky Followers seems to have a lot of nice features. First of all it doesn't matter whether you use blogger, wordpress, or typepad...which in my opinion is great. It allows others to follow your blog and you're able to follow others as well. Best of all, it's free and it only takes a moment to register.
So, my dear friends I ask you to please please please show me a little blog love and follow me through Linky Followers. (Do I sound like I'm begging? Maybe a little.) You can find the link in my sidebar.
Although many of us are resistant to change sometimes change is good. So, farewell GFC...Hello Linky Followers.

ReplyDeleteJean, I posted something like this too and actually got a lot of nasty emails from people saying it will not be true for Blogger blogs. I think those people are wrong -- Google has made it quite clear that they will phase it out for everyone eventually, as google+ takes off. Just curious if you got any angry feedback...hope not!

I knew about friend connect ending, but I wasn't aware there was an alternative. I'm going to check it out!
