Fall Monogram Wreath Tutorial

I've been wanting to add a little fall decor to my home ever since the weather around here finally started to feel cool and crisp.  This afternoon I had time to create this simple fall monogram wreath.

It was so simple.  Here's how I did it...

You'll need jute twine, sheet moss, a monogram letter form, an old frame (about 8 x 10 size), decorative ribbon, and hot glue.

Start by wrapping and hot gluing the jute twine around your letter form.  Be sure to keep the twine wrapped tightly.  Hot glue along the back of your form to minimize the visibility of any leftover hot glue.

You will end up with something that looks like this.

Hot glue sheet moss to the frame.

Hot glue more sheet moss to the frame.

Repeat.

(Follow all steps in this tutorial closely except the part where I burned my fingers with hot glue and yelled profanities 10 times)

Place jute letter form inside of the moss frame and use a small piece of jute twine to tie both together (not pictured).  Cover the piece of jute twine with the decorative ribbon.  Use the decorative ribbon to attach the wreath to the door.

Welcome Fall...

XOXO,
