Yesterday I began to participate with my entryway built-in reveal in the Roomspiration blog hop over at Abode Love. If you haven't yet visited the linky party head on over and take a look. Such inspiration!
Fellow bloggers, you are some talented and creative people! (I was going to say ladies and then thought that may be a little sexist.)
I've already met some amazing new blogger friends. If you're new to my site leave a comment or send me an email (find my email address in my sidebar) so I can visit your blog too. I love to meet new people, especially those with the same interests as mine! (don't worry...I won't think you're a stalker)
Anyway, the best part of these parties is the inspiration from you creative people and the motivation it gives me to get things done! There's nothing like a blog party to get me movin'.
Today the blog hop moves on over to View Along the Way, where the topic is living rooms.
My living room redesign is in full swing and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to revisit my progress and update you, maybe even get some feedback from you all. Constructive criticism is welcome...So be nice Kay? :)
Here are some photos of how things are currently coming together...
A sneak peak at my entryway console that I found for a steal.
My media cabinet/bookshelves that I have big plans for. Maybe painting the interior a dark color to make the t.v. less of a focal point. What do you think?
On the to do list...accessories, accessories, accessories.
My new Restoration Hardware couch.
It's looking kind of lonely right now, but this is one of the most comfortable pieces of furniture I have ever owned.
As you can see I've completed the basics of the room. I like to call it my "blank canvas".
Here's where the decorating fun begins.
I plan to add color, pattern, and texture through area rugs, pillows, throws, art, etc...
I've also got a coffee table project in the works that I'll be posting about soon.
I'd love to hear some of your suggestions! Got any great ideas for the "blank canvas" I now have?
XOXO,

P.S. If you haven't already and you're interested in participating in the Roomspiration blog hop here are the upcoming topics...

I love the white quatrefoil vase thing, yummy! Can't wait to see what you do with this space. Are you on pinterest? I love pinterest. So glad you linked up to Roomspiration and thanks for the shout outs!
ReplyDeleteI think starting with the "blank canvas" is a great idea -- you can easily change things up for different season, using greens in the spring, yellows in the summer, reds and oranges in the fall, and blues in the winter! All you'd need are a few pillows and frames and knickknacks! I'm a new follower, thanks for linking up to Roomspiration today :)

ReplyDeleteYay, now the fun stuff starts - accessorizing! I love everything you have so far, and I think painting the bookcases would be beautiful. Thanks for linking up to the roomspiration party today :)
