Couch Search Final Decision and the Start of the Living Room Redesign

I know, I know...it's hard to believe.  I've finally made a decision on a new couch for the living room redesign.

How did I finally make the decision you may ask?

Well, after stalking (as my wonderful husband called it) the Restoration Hardware site for weeks my persistence finally paid off.

The couch went on sale for the Fourth of July holiday!  It was meant to be.  :)

Classic style, perfect size, slipcovered durable fabric with performance finish for stain resistance (I would have loved the Belgian Linen, but I don't believe it would be the most kid friendly choice), down-fill for comfort, and on S-A-L-E!

There were many great options in my search, but this couch is the best fit for my family.  The only change I made from the Restoration Hardware original was to go with the slipcovered sofa chaise in the hopes that if there ever was a need to have it dry cleaned it could be.  You know, just in case.

So in celebration of the Restoration Hardware Fourth of July sale...while most Americans were celebrating the Fourth of July weekend with beaches and barbeques...here's what we were my hubby was doing...

Living room demolition...the reality of DIY home renovation.

Now isn't this more fun than any old barbeque?  Thanks honey.
